I like cooking. I like talking to people and eating the food. I love making everyone tea or coffee when they are working hard and buttering all of the bread. The staff are all very nice.

Thank you for the lovely buffet last Thursday - everything went down a storm, especially the amazing spring rolls! Everyone loved the sandwiches and the general consensus by the group is that you are better than (competitor). Compliments to your chefs!

Green matters

Local

Here at Good Mood Food we are very conscious of the provenance of the ingredients that are used.  We buy some of our produce from catering connection, a local fruit and vegetable supplier, however we also grow much of our food on our two allotments and have strong links with Hulme Garden Centre and Abundance Manchester all of which is local and grown by organic methods. We also use Suma Wholefood which is a co-op in the North West. All the eggs we use are free-range and we aim to increase the amount of organic produce we use through the Bite partnership.

Whilst our van is not refrigerated we do keep all food in the fridge until immediately before it is to be loaded up for delivering. We are hoping to purchase an electric van for transporting our buffets across the city at some point in the near future.

Fair Trade

We are committed to being an environmentally friendly and pro active organisation and source and sell many fair trade products i.e. tea, coffee and sugar. We also sell fair trade fruit juice and healthy snacks. All the packaging we use is kept to minimum; the plates, napkins, cutlery and cups that we supply are sustainably sourced, recycled, biodegradable or re-usable.

All waste that we produce is also recycled and food waste is composted which we then use on our allotment. We are also in the process of setting up a new composting system that will not only compost vegetable and fruit waste but will also compost cooked foods, dairy produce and meat.
